THANKS(giving) for the Cookies!

I need to confess something here. I love, no let me say that again.. I LOVE sweets. I tihnk that my favorite thing is Cupcakes, followed by Brownies, and then Cookies. The rest comes after. The problem, or should I say challenge, with all of this — is finding a way to make them healthier, so that I can eat them without guilt!

As a sidenote here (I promise, I’ll get back to the cookies in a minute), I’ve been on Weight Watchers, a program that I highly recommend because it teaches you about eating healthy and changing your lifestyle — NOT about that dreaded D word. You know. D-I-E-T.  I’ve been pretty successful so far, I think anyway. Since March 11, 2011 I have lost a total of 48.4 pounds. I’m really excited with my progress and know that my final goal, IS attainable, and I think that this time, I’m going to do it!

Anyway, back to the cookies… as promised. So, I got on this blog reading kick recently. That’s what happens when insomnia hits, and you can’t really think enough to do what you should do (like homework and stuff), but you can roam over the net and find neat stuff. So, I stumbled across this thing called Pinterest. Yes, this is another sidenote.. sorry, I do that from time to time. Okay, all the time. Anyway, Pinterest is like a digital scrapbook. You “PIN” or “LIKE” things you find all over the place. These things can be from places, to products, to quotes, to crafts and home decor. You name it, and it can probably be pinned now. And let me tell you — this site becomes addicting. Just what I need, another social media addiction! Yay!!!  Anyway, in searching cupcakes, I came across a blog that to my delight is all about Sweet Stuff. YUMMIE! So, I found her post about these 2 Ingredient Cookies. Now, I’ve made muffins/cupcakes with using a dry devils food cake mix and a can of 100% pumpkin (not the pie filling), and they are delicious. So when I found this — I fell in love with the idea. I really want to try these!

It’s SIMPLE to make! You should head over to  Cookies And Cups and check it out! It’s really pretty and well put together! And as promised here are the 2 Ingredient Pumpkin Cookies. – Now, for those on Weight Watchers if you make 24 cookies each cookie is only 3 points. If you make smaller cookies, the point value goes down!

      They are delicious but deadly. LOL A guilty pleasure that I’m not willing to give up. So, I just try to spin it healthy — sometimes anyway! LOL

    Congrats on the healthy lifestyle and results and yes, I love sweets as well. I will have to check out the sites you are finding. I get going on surfing the web and have a difficult time making myself stop and go to sleep. It’s catching up!!

      It definitely is hard work, but I know it will all be worth it. I mean, it already is! I do the same thing. One site leads to another and before I know it, it’s 2:00am! LOL
